Course Aims
To indicate the importance of parameter estimation in the sense of statistical theory, to investigate the properties of estimates. To make clear the effective methods in achiving parameter estimation and to indicate some problems in this frame.
Course Goals
1) To teach the subject of Applied Statistics courses
2) To teach the statistical computer applications

1) Learning the importance of parameter estimation in the sense of statistical theory and to investigate the properties of estimates.
2) Learning to make clear the effective methods in achiving parameter estimation and to indicate some problems in this frame.
Course Contents
Point Estimation, Properties Of Estimates, Methods Of Moment, Maximum Likelihood Estimates, Sufficient Statistics, Rao-Blackwell Theorem, Hypothesis Testing Problem, Neyman-Pearson Lemma, Likelihood Ratio Tests, Unbiased And İnvariant Test, Chi-Square Test, T And F Tests, Bayes Ve Minimax Tests, Confidence Regions, Relating Hypothesis Tests And Confidence Regions, Bayes Confidence Region.
