Course Aims
To reveal legal structure of e-government within theoretical and institutional infrastructure of the concept of e-government and detection of current implementations. To make comparison of e-government implementations in Turkey and around the world. To discuss how e-government implementations influence the relationship between state and citizens.

Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit
It resolves the use of e-government Technologies and distinguishes the opportunities and difficulties that information Technologies offer
It associates the processes of e-government and e-administration; e-government policies; administration of e-government and practices
Students have strong knowledge about e-government and e-governance; e-government policies; administration and practice of e-government
Course Contents
The influence of Information Technologies on public administration and services will be handled. Initially its legal structure, political, commercial, security, service dimensions will also be studied. Aims and functions of e-government will be analyzed and a comparison of e-government and classical administration will be made. Furthermore, example countires of good pracitce and e-democracy will be disscussed.
