Course Aims
All about mythology from an archaeological perspective and written sources
Course Goals
1. to provide to get knowledge about the importance of Mythology as a remarkable source of inspiration, and in the formation of culture and civilizations,
2. to provide a rich and multi-perspectival point of view to the Art, History and Culture,
3. to provide to get knowledge about different eras and styles in the History of Art through mythological art works
Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit
1-Distinction and relation between religion and myths
2-How historical events are reflected in mythology
3-Mythology as a device to decode rituals - social structures - the perception of natural phenomena and introspection in antiquity
4-How to take advantage of written sources and visual material from the past Mythology in archaeological artefacts
