Course Aims
The aim of this course is to ensure that the students will be introduced to a wide range of strategic issues and basic concepts of water resources engineering with the conception, planning, design, construction and operation of water resources systems.

Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit
1) Basic concepts about hydrologic analysis and water resources development
2) Basic concepts about water resources planning and systems
3) Information of water structures
4) Planning and design criteria of Water resources engineering structures such as dams, spillways, diversion weirs, intake structures and flood mitigation
5) Risk and reliability analysis in water resources sytems.
