Course Aims
To introduce soil, to learn fundametal information about soil formation conditions, physical, chemical and biological properties of soils, and soil conservation.
Course Goals
 
Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
learn genesis and general copmposition of soils.
recognize soil forming factors and processes
learn basic physical and chemical properties of soils, and determine this properties
learn principal concepts about plant nutrients and soil fertility
understand soil live, and their fonctions and importance in soil environment
understand erosion, and learn basic information about erosion control
Course Contents
General composition of soil, soil formation, chemical and physical properties, plant nutrients and their uptake by plants, soil biology, soil organik matter, and soil conservation.
