Course Aims
Teaching students about the basic knowledge of engineering, development of agricultural mechanization, tractors, soil tilage, sowing, transplanting, in-row and inter-row cultivating,manure and fertiliser distribution machines, irrigation machines, plant protection machines, harvesting machines, greenhouse mechanization, livestock mechanization.
Course Goals
Enhance students about the knowledge of mechanization of agriculture, basic terminology related to agricultural mechanization, using of agricultural mechanization and their technical principles.
Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit
Recognizing of basic principles of agricultural mechanization and agricultural engineering.
Recognizing of types of tractors, constructions and basic components.
Determining of requirement of agricutural machines according to farming.
Making of working width, working depth, sowing/fertilizing/plant protection application rate, marker set.
Making of requirements of adjustment and maintenance for agricultural tools and machinery.
Course Contents
Mechanization in agriculture, basic concepts related to agricultural machines, electrical machinery and thermal engines, tractors, tillage machines, sowing, transplanting, fertilizing and in-row and inter-row machinery, irrigation machinery, plant protection machinery, harvesting machinery, threshing machinery, post-harvesting machinery, greenhouses mechanization, mechanization on animal production.
