Course Aims
To investigate the relationship between greenhouse gas emissions and the soil tillage systems . Factors affecting soil CO2 emission. Environmental effects of grenhouse gases. Methods for reducing of soil CO2 emissions.
Course Goals
To learn the tillage systems having minimum greenhouse gas emission

4- Know the source of greenhouse gasses at agricultural activities.
5- Know the determination of greenhouse gasses emissions.
6- Know the reducing the greenhouse gasses during the soil tillage.
Course Contents
Greenhouse gases in agricultural production activities. The sources and properties of N2O, NH4 and CO2 gases. The rates of greenhouse gasses in agricultural production. The sources of carbo dioxide gases in agricultural production. Relation to tillage systems and soil CO2 emissions. Determination of tillage methods reducing the soil CO2 emission. Factors effecting soil carbon dioxide emission. Other applications that emit carbon dioxide in agriculture. Methods and devices used to detect greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the use of fossil-based inputs.
