Course Aims : The aim of this course is to provide that the students will be introduced to essential concepts of strength of materials with the basics of the behaviour of structural elements and structures under various loading conditions, determination of the states of stress and strain in any structural elements submitted to the axial force, shear force, bending and torsion, and its combinations.
