Course Contents : General knowledge, structural systems, loads. Assumptions & idealizations at structural analyses. Support reactions, internal forces, equilibrium equations.. Calculation of the static loads of plane isostatic systems, diagrams of internal forces. Isostatic plane systems, simple beam, console beam, Gerber beam, frames & arches, truss systems. Influence lines, simple beams, Gerber beams and influence lines of trusses.

Course Aims : The aim of this lecture is to give information about structural systems and structural behaviors, about calculation of the internal forces and structural displacements, to form basement for Structural analyses II.

2 Forces, loads, support reactions, internal forces, equilibrium equations, Determination of hyperstatic degree of plane systems.
 
3 Calculation of plane systems, relationship between loads & internal forces, calculation of internal forces & diagrams.
 
4 Isostatic plane systems, simple beams & console beams.
 
5 Gerber beams.
 
6 Simple beams, 3 hinged systems.
 
7 3 hinged frames & arches.
