Course Contents : Introduction, Concept of Moral Values, Ethics, Concept of Engineering Ethics, The Difference between Ethical and Moral Values, Interaction of Ethical Understanding with Other Values, Historical Background of Moral Values, General Ethical Principles, Basic Principles of Engineering Ethics, Responsibilities to Profession and Colleagues, Responsibilities to Employers, Workers and Customers, Responsibilities to Public, Nature and Environment, TMMOB Principals of Professional Behaviour, WCCE Principles of Professional Behaviour, Brainstorming for Examination and Inspection of Case Studies.

Course Goals :
Course Aims : This course emphasizes the importance of ethical understanding to engineering students. In the frame of this course it is taught how and why to behave ethical way when performing the engineering profession, as well as the measures of ethical behaviours. The course aims to discuss the distinction and similarities between ethical understanding and moral values by studying several cases.
