Course Contents : Microbial genetics (mutations, recombination and genetic engineering), DNA and gene expression, control of microorganisms (physical and chemical agents,antibiotics),major groups of bacteria (spirochetes, gram(-), gram(+) bacteria, asid-fast bacteria), the fungi, the protozoa, the unicellular algae, the viruses, food and industrial microbiology, environmental microbiology.

Course Goals : To teach the major concepts, principles and applications of microbiology
To give information more about what microorganisms are, how they function, and how they are important in human life
Course Aims : To provide the students information about genetics of microorganisms, type of microorganisms, food microbiology, industrial microbiology and environmental microbiology.
