Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit : 1) To learn important large ruminant, small ruminant and poultry breeds raised in the world and Turkey
2) To learn morphological and physiological characters of large ruminant, small ruminant and poultry breeds
3) To know reproduction and control of reproduction.
4) To learn animal production-nutrition systems and learn insemination methods.
5) To know selection of farm animals
6) To learn basic feed ingredients in animal nutrition
7) To learn properties of feedstuff used in animal nutrition

Course Contents : The importance of animal husbandry, Problems of animal husbandry in Turkey, livestock, farm animals in the zoological classification, domestication, cattle, sheep, goat, chicken breeds, feeding, care, selection, reproduction, basic feedstuff, farm animals digestive system and metabolism of nutrients and general principles of animal nutrition, classification of feedstuff, ruminant and poultry nutrition
