Course Contents : The course includes the explanation of traumatic theory and how this theory is applied to the required primary sources

Course Goals : 1) To be able to critically assess traumatic novels
2) To be able to discuss things from the perspective of trauma theory
3) To be able to write critical essays on the required primary texts and reviews on secondary sources
Course Aims : Trauma, theory of trauma and Traumatic Literature have gained great recognition and popularity over the last two decades to the extent that Shoshana Felman labels the twentieth century as a century of trauma. The course aims to introduce trauma literature and the representation of it in two modern novels. We will try to answers questions as regards literary strategies employed by the writers of traumatic novels. the course will focus on teaching critical reading, academic writing and understanding of primary and secondary courses.
