Course Contents :
Ecology and landscape. Urban ecology as a basis for shaping cities. Interaction between climate, soil and water in urban areas. Ecological needs of plants. Urban natural areas and wildlife. Determination and classifications of main biome types. Ecological restoration and habitat creation. Human impact and its consequences in urban areas. Strategies for urban nature conservation. Strategic management issues in urban natural areas. Ecological approaches to urban landscape design. Project work.
