Students can model components with commercial CAD/CAE packages
To be able to design to systems with commercial CAD/CAE packages
Students can use SolidWorks and CAD/CAM software for general manufacturing of an engineering component.
Students can add animations and effects to designs

Course Contents : Introduction to solid works, basic drawing techniques, 3d drawing techniques and modeling, project preparation.

To introduce the students to design and analyze practical engineering problems using geometric modeling,
To teach students to perform design with commercial CAD/CAE packages
