Course Contents : Definition of sustainability, historical development of sustainability, necessity of resource saving, sustainability in terms of economics, energy use and environment and components of these. Animal production techniques, physiological characteristics of ruminants and nonruminants and effects of these characteristics on nutrition of these animals, analyses and development of production techniques that reduces energy use, increases profitability, reduces effects on environment. Analyzing each production system considering energy use, profitability, effect on environment and choosing an optimum production system that meets these requirements.
