General Information : The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, which was founded in Süleyman Demirel University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture in 1995, the first Electronics and Communication Engineering graduated from the Department in 1998-1999 academic year and also, there has been a M.Sc. program in the Department since 1993-1994 academic year.


 
Qualification Awarded : Electronics and Communication Engineer.  
Level of Qualification : First Cycle (Bachelor?s Degree).Electronics and Communication Engineer.  
Specific Admission Requirements : 1- Diploma of high school
2- Result sheet of Placement through a centralized national university placement examination.
 
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : 1. Lectures which can be essential and appropriate by Departmental Adaptation Commission

Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : The purpose of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is to provide professional training additionally to participate in applied and theoretical research.
This undergraduate program is to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for high quality engineering work, as well as for advanced research. The curriculum covers electromagnetic fields and microwave, telecommunication, circuits and systems, and electronics. Sufficient training on the use of computers as a tool for analysis, design, computing and control, allows the student to proceed in to advanced research in all related fields. Undergraduate students are expected to spend 45 working days in industry over two consecutive summers.
 
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples : 1- Working as engineer with Engineering Degree in Industry, government, and private sector.
2- Starting academic carrier with BS degree,
3- Working ability as engineer in own job.
 
Access to Further Studies : Graduate students can participate in various departments by achieving essential conditions.  
Aims Of Programme : Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, the electronic sector rapid technological development to adapt to the new technological developments can be followed, design, development, production and application stages of planning and execution can provide a solid scientific and technical knowledge gained to train engineers aims.  
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : Midterm(40%) and Final examination (60%).  
Graduation Requirements : To complete all compulsory, elective courses and essential apprenticeship works.  
Mode of Study (full-time, part-time, e-learning etc.) : Theoretical lessons, laboratory work, seminar, group assignment, group project, stand-alone assignment, web-based learning, apprenticeship, and technical excursion.  

Program Learning Outcomes
1 Engineering graduates with sufficient theoretical and practical background for a successful profession and with application skills of fundamental scientific knowledge in the engineering practice
2 Engineering graduates with skills and professional background in describing, formulating, modeling and analyzing the engineering problem, with a consideration for appropriate analytical solutions in all necessary situations
3 Engineering graduates with the necessary technical, academic and practical knowledge and application confidence in the design and assessment of machines or mechanical systems or industrial processes with considerations of productivity, feasibility and environmental and social aspects
4 Engineering graduates with the practice of selecting and using appropriate technical and engineering tools in engineering problems, and ability of effective usage of information science technologies
5 Ability of designing and conducting experiments, conduction data acquisition and analysis and making conclusions
6 Ability of identifying the potential resources for information or knowledge regarding a given engineering issue
7 The abilities and performance to participate multi-disciplinary groups together with the effective oral and official communication skills and personal confidence
8 Ability for effective oral and official communication skills in Turkish Language and, at minimum, one foreign language
9 Engineering graduates with motivation to life-long learning and perceiving known significance of continuous education beyond undergraduate studies for science and technology
10 Engineering graduates with well-structured responsibilities in profession and ethics
11 Engineering graduates who are aware of the importance of safety and healthiness in the project management, workshop environment as well as related legal issues
12 Consciousness for the results and effects of engineering solutions on the society and universe, awareness for the developmental considerations with contemporary problems of humanity
