General Information : Aim of the PhD in Biophysics is speculation and education of human body cells by biophysical procedures (bioelectric, biomechanics etc.) and their role on human body and diseases  
Qualification Awarded : Master degree/ Biophysics PhD  
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).If Student of Biophysics learned biophysical procedures in cells they will be accepted succesful.  
Specific Admission Requirements : At least applicants should have graduated from 4 years university.  
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : No  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : Master's program aims to graduate students with the basics subjects of Biophysics as well as its laboratory methods. Doctorate program aims the graduate students with full comprehension of general area of Biophysical laboratory methods and also requirements needed to become teaching and researching stuff in universities

Aims Of Programme : The objective of our department is to graduate students educated in human biophysics and also experienced with laboratory practices from routine patch clamp, calcium signaling and cell culture techniques.  
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : Professors can do theoretical, oral or practical exams in both programs.  
Graduation Requirements : During Master's education, students must succeed lessons of at least 21 credits within two seasons. Then they had to make a thesis and defend in front of the thesis jury. Students must succeed lessons of at least 24 credits within two years during PhD program. Then they had to pass qualification exam in maximum two tries to proceed doctorate program. Afterwards they had to complete and defend their thesis within two years. An additional time of one year can be given for masters and two years for doctorate program. At the end of the program participants should be successfull for at least 8 courses (120 ECTS) not less than 24 national credits, 2 seminar course and in qualifying exam and dissertation should be completed.

1 Knowing about procedures used to visualize a cell, tissue or organ in microscope
2 Learning human body in microscopic level
3 Examination of structures of cells or organ systems in detail
4 Learning about ion channels and diseases
5 Understanding the basic principles of the systems
6 Learning about neurological disorders
7 Using of acquired advanced level theoretical and practical data in basic medicine sciences
8 Evaluation of concepts and thoughts with scientific methods in basic medicine sciences, interpretation and evaluation of data, definition and analyze of problems requiring proficiency and suggesting solves supported by researches and proofs.
9 Combination of data acquired from basic medicine sciences with other disciplines to create new ones
10 Evaluation of acquired information from basic medicine sciences in a criticizing manner, detecting own educational needs, canalizing education and performing advanced studies independently
11 Using of advanced level computer software, informatics and telecommunication technologies required by science field
12 Using Patch-clamp system and make comments
13 Calcium signaling and compare intracellular calcium amounts
