General Information : At the undergraduate level of the Department of Econometrics it is aimed to give theoretical and analytic knowledge in order that students know how human wish are supplied efficiently with limited resources, understand and analyze the problems of production and allocation. The undergraduate education aims to raise employees that could be employed both in the private and public sector as specialist researchers and manager as well as to give the basics of an academic career. The department of econometrics gives education and searches on the subjects such as the efficient use of finite resources for infinite human desire, expansion of the sources and the allocation of goods and services produced.  
Qualification Awarded : This program is second cycle degree program in the science of Ekonometrics(120 ECTS).
You will be awarded, on successful completion of the programme and gain competencies, a degree of master of arts in Ekonometrics.
 
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).Each student holds a B.Sc. can begin in Econometrics postgraduate training. In different branches of the people Econometrics, Statistics and Economics units who are apply the Econometrics postgraduate have to take scientific competence required classes.  
Specific Admission Requirements : Students, willing to enrol in this graduate programme, must comply with the legal and academic requirements to access the studies in The Süleyman Demirel University according to the process established by the YÖK (Higher Education Council) regulations. The detail information about the application (once or sometimes twice a year) and access requirements are released before academic year starts on its web site (www.sbe.sdu.edu.tr). Students who have started studies in other universities within or outside of the country may apply for their recognition. The recognition record is unique for each student and therefore the procedure is carried out accordingly before the start of each academic year.

Under an established exchanges program or one approved by the University, exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English. Or, if they are confident in Turkish, they may then enrol in any courses, running in Turkish, shown on the ?Course Structure? diagram. For example, Erasmus students from abroad want to spend one term or two terms in a graduate programme at Süleyman Demirel University should apply to International Relation Office. The detail information on the application procedure is given in their web site (http://disiliskiler.sdu.edu.tr).
 
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : different programs of the graduate school or in graduate schools of other higher education institutions, will be accepted to the graduate programs based on the announced transfer students quota. In order to transfer, students are subject to fulfil acceptance criteria for the program, to pass the courses that s/he takes in her/his previous graduate program with minimum marks of 70 for M.B.A. and 75 for Ph.D. degrees out of 100. Transfer can be only made at the beginning of the term during the course selection period. The prerequisite courses will be determined by the IBA by consulting the HOD. Transfers to the Graduate School of Fine Arts will be accepted by the Senate.  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : The graduate level department of econometrics education, is aimed to creating a foundation for a career in academia and the private professionals for sector involved in public education .  
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples : Finance, banking, auditing firms, all enterprises, mainly in the various duties of public office .  
Access to Further Studies : Upon a successful completion of the programme, student may continue with doctoral study in the same or similar scientific areas, which may accept students from the science of Ekonometrics.  
Aims Of Programme : Program provides grilling the economic fundamentals of different problems by using statistical and econometric methods and developing the ability of students to evaluate economic events, to comment and to form the economic policies
Program aims getting the ability to the students will work in public and private sector instutions as specialist that wanted at subjects of economy policies and econometric analysis. Program aims the obtaining, commentting and evaluating of knowledge.

Graduation Requirements : In order to gain the degree, the student is required to have minimum 60 ECTS credits lectures (from the graduate course programme) and successfully completed them. Then, the student should prepare a thesis after caring out a research on a topic supervised by a senior lecturer. On a successful submission of thesis, student is required to give a successful oral examination on his/her work.  
Mode of Study (full-time, part-time, e-learning etc.) : Full time.  

Program Learning Outcomes
1 Improving and investigating the details of undergraduate level knowledge on econometrics and other related departments (economics, statistics, mathematics, etc), evaluating and solving economic and also social issues analytically by using scientific research methods.
2 Be aware of interaction between Econometrics and related disciplinaries (economics, statistics, mathematics, etc) and be capable of performing an academic study
3 Using the theoretical knowledge they acquired on econometrics, statistics and operational research disciplines practically
4 Utilizes appropriate economic concepts and quantitative principles in evaluating economic problems, issues and other related economic concerns, interpret their consequences and to get solution independently.
5 Having a computational insight to find a solution to possible problems and enhance different views.
6 Assessing the knowledges on econometrics critically and be capable of performing advanced studies.
7 To present recent issues of econometrics and of their own workings verbally and visually
8 Get the feel of software programs and other informatics technologies that simplifies the achievement on econometrics, statistics and operational research they use basic computer programs helping to make economic analysis
9 To develop policy and method on economic and social issues
10 To communicate in at least one foreign language orally and in written
11 To take care of societal, academic and ethical values on studies about economic and social problems
