General Information : Agricultural Mechanization Department; Education and research related to agricultural machinery and use of energy in agriculture are the main subject of interests of the department. The department aims to provide high quality education in the field of agricultural mechanization to both undergraduate and graduate level. Research is focused on energy and energy requirements of the modern agricultural and industrial complexes, bioenergy, water pumps, recycling of agricultural wastes, agricultural electrification, greenhouse mechanization techniques, agricultural tractors, internal combustion engines, cultivating mechanization, sowing, planting and fertilization machines, mechanization of harvesting and threshing processes, management and planning of agricultural mechanization, mechanization of animal production systems.  
Qualification Awarded : Professional Agricultural engineer  
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).The bachelor diploma which will be accepted by the graduate program in Agricultural machinery department.  
Specific Admission Requirements : Students, willing to enroll in the graduate program, must comply with the legal and academic requirements to access the studies in the Suleyman Demirel University according to the process established by the YÖK (Higher Education Council) regulations. The detailed information about the application (once or sometimes twice a year) and admission requirements are released before the beginning of the academic year on its web site. Students who have started studies in other universities within or outside of the country may apply for their recognition. The recognition record is unique for each student and therefore, the procedure is carried out accordingly before the start of each academic year.  
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : Under an established exchanges program or one approved by the University, exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English. Or, if they are confident in Turkish, they may then enroll in any courses, running in Turkish, shown on the ?Course Structure? diagram. For example, Erasmus students from abroad want to spend one term or two terms in a graduate programme at Süleyman Demirel University should apply to International Relation Office. The detailed information on the application procedure is given in their web site.  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : To educate the agricultural engineers, who can foresee the problems in agricultural machinery, can bring about the solutions using engineering knowledge, can apply the gained knowledge into the engineering problems, self confident in terms of science, can research in the subject which bring the innovative solutions to the agricultural and agro-industry, can be leader of the foundations, institutions, establishment which can be at the first rank among the others.  
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples : The students who graduate from the graduate program at the agricultural Machinery department found a job a many different institutions, foundations and private sectors.  
Access to Further Studies : The students who graduate from the graduate program at the agricultural Machinery department can work at the different area regardless of their background.  
Aims Of Programme : 1) To gain the necessary background to be able to solve the problems analytically with scientific approach on the disciplines of agricultural machinery, 2) To gain the ability of producing innovative solutions to meet the sectoral needs applying scientific knowledge and methods and forming thesis and antithesis, 3) To gain the ability to function in a team, 4) To gain the ability of producing and managing the studies to meet the scientific needs in his/her academic studies, 5) To train the candidates who works with principles of social responsibility and ethical rules in all studies,  
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : Examinations are carried out based on the regulations of pre-undergraduate and undergraduate programs at Süleyman Demirel Universty  
Graduation Requirements : In order to gain the degree, the student is required to have minimum 120 ECTS credits lectures (from the graduate course program) and successfully completed them. Then, the student should prepare a thesis after caring out a research on a topic supervised by a senior lecturer. On a successful submission of thesis, student is required to give a successful oral examination on his/her work.

1 Can reach, use and utilize the knowledge of functions and usage area of agricultural machines and equipment,
2 Can design, develop, and manage the operation and production process of the agricultural machineries and equipment used in agriculture and agro-industry,
3 Can use, build, and develop scientific research method in engineering area and utilize the innovative methods to solve the sectoral problems,
4 Can organize the chain of mechanization in agricultural enterprise
5 Can develop new techniques and technologies in the area of agricultural machinery and put into application,
6 Can utilize and plan the energy sources as environment-friendly in agriculture,
7 Can do energy management and organization in agriculture and agro-industry,
8 Can plan and design the bioprocess applications and put into application,
9 Can present the results of studies in agricultural machinery in national and international meetings in a systematic way and written and orally and realize applications and educational activities considering ethical values,
10 Can follow the developments in agricultural machinery in the world and if necessary put into application,
11 Can take responsibility in multidisciplinary and team works, produce solution, and establish social relationship,
