General Information : Master Programme of Public Law is continuing since the spring semester of the year 2011. The main objective of this programme is to share and increase the informations about public law. To accomplish this objective, on the international field and especially at the public law, qualified studies should be made. To do this, we must educate the students who know and develop methods of legal thinking, who have the ability of solving problems and independed thinking.  
Qualification Awarded : You will be awarded, on successful completion of the programme and gain competencies, a degree of master of arts in Public Law.  
Level of Qualification : Second Cycle (Master?s Degree)/ Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).This program is second cycle degree program in the science of Public Law (120 ECTS).  
Specific Admission Requirements : Students, willing to enrol in this graduate programme, must comply with the legal and academic requirements to access the studies in The Suleyman Demirel University according to the process established by the YÖK (Higher Education Council) regulations. The detail information about the application (once or sometimes twice a year) and access requirements are released before academic year starts on its web site (http://sosyalbilimler.sdu.edu.tr/ENGLISH/). Students who have started studies in other universities within or outside of the country may apply for their recognition. The recognition record is unique for each student and therefore the procedure is carried out accordingly before the start of each academic year. Under an established exchanges program or one approved by the University, exchange students from abroad may be accepted for studies on the courses taught in English. Or, if they are confident in Turkish, they may then enrol in any courses, running in Turkish, shown on the ?Course Structure? diagram. For example, Erasmus students from abroad want to spend one term or two terms in a graduate programme at Süleyman Demirel University should apply to International Relation Office. The detail information on the application procedure is given in their web site (http://ects.sdu.edu.tr/).  
Specific Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, non-formal and informal) : Transfer of a student, who is registered and successfully completed at least one semester as a graduate student in different programs of the graduate school or in graduate schools of other higher education institutions, will be accepted to the graduate programs based on the announced transfer students quota. In order to transfer, students are subject to fulfil acceptance criteria for the program, to pass the courses that s/he takes in her/his previous graduate program with minimum marks of 70 for M.B.A. and 75 for Ph.D. degrees out of 100. Transfer can be only made at the beginning of the term during the course selection period. The prerequisite courses will be determined by the IBA by consulting the HOD. Transfers to the Graduate School of Fine Arts will be accepted by the Senate.  
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : National qualifications frameworks may contain levels (or intermediate qualifications) within the three Bologna cycles (e.g. a short cycle within the first cycle). These levels allow institutions to structure a particular qualification and regulate progression through the qualification. Qualification Requirements and Regulations are enacted by YÖK (The Council Of Higher Education) in Turkey.  
Profile of The Programme : The aim of this program is provide a sound theoretical basis in legal theory and is to show how to use existing knowledge in practice. Program aims the obtaining, commenting and evaluating of knowledge.



 
Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples : Our alumni take tasks as qualified judges and public prosecutor at the public area. And they also take tasks as qualified lawyer at both public area and private offices. The qualified lawyers are the sturdy part of the defense at the process of trial. Our alumni also take tasks as a law consultant at some institutions.  
Access to Further Studies : Upon a successful completion of the programme, student may continue with doctoral study in the same or similar scientific areas, which may accept students from the science of Public Law..

Graduation Requirements : In order to gain the degree, the student is required to have minimum 60 ECTS credits lectures (from the graduate course programme) and successfully completed them. Besides student must perapare at least one seminar work in specific topic which will his/her on a topic supervised by a senior lecturer. Then, the student should prepare a thesis after caring out a research on a topic supervised by a senior lecturer. On a successful submission of thesis, student is required to give a successful oral examination on his/her work.

Program Learning Outcomes
1 To learn and to understand rudiments (constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law and criminal procedure, international law) in the field of Public Law.
2 To perceive current problems in the field of Public Law and able to make comments and recommend solutions to these problems.
3 To have skills on information production and usage and use of methods and research techniques to access information
4 To understand national and international developments and able to establish relationship between these and global developments about Public Law.
5 To be aware of social, professional and scientific ethical conduct principles
6 To have ability to prepare programs and draft resolutions which have able to look at problems and facts from various angles and produce solutions
7 To assimilate universal principles of law.
8 To know enough foreign languages to follow the literature in public law and to transfer ideas
9 To have Turkish written and oral communication competence
10 To develop positive attitudes for lifelong learning
