Course Aims
Introduction of modern methods and marble sector, using the issue of information technology solutions and the products used in the marble sector
Course Goals
Depend on the natural stone and natural potential of growing concern in Turkey's request requirements, the development of applications and approaches with an increase in the quality of production and processing of export development and further expand market share.
Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit
1) The decision can be given about geologically formed area for evaluation possibility as marble bed
2) Evaluation of basic mining method parameters and to give decision about the operational method of the marble bed with in a planning concept,
3) Cutting of marble blocks produced from the marble fields into the plates by using cutting technologies,
4) Development of strategies about processing, marketing and selling of produced intermediate product to ensure highest economical value
5) The final product quality control for processed natural stone production process can be tested at every stage of tests and measurements using the statistical tools under control and is working in accordance with the objectives
Course Contents
Definition and classification of marble, how to perform marble production from quarries and processing in marble factories, the problems in product quality and eliminate the quality control problems will be discussed.
