Course Aims
To explain basic concepts of Computer Aided Design.
Course Goals
1) Computer-aided design program (CAD) using Two-dimensional drawings of mechanical elements to perform
2) Two-dimensional mechanical systems design
3) Create Two-dimensional assembly drawings
4) To have a solid model projects
Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit
1) Ability to draw geometric figures such as line, circle and polygon
2) Understanding projection planes and rays
3) Ability to draw views on the projection planes according to technical drawing
4) Ability to draw different type of line depending on seen and unseen figures of parts
5) Ability to draw section views with the design program
6) Dimensioning the drawn views with the dimension commands
7) Learning solid modeling commands and drawing simple solid models
