Course Aims
The objective of this course is providing students with the basics of air conditioning, cooling load, air conditioning systems; the ability of designing air conditioning systems.
Course Goals
1) To explain theory of air conditioning
2) To bring in combining ability of fluid mechanics, mathematics, thermodynamics, heat transfer information in the air conditioning
3) To teach the concept of boundary layer
4) To teach mathematics of duct and air conditioning principles
5) To explain duct calculations and air conditioning projects

Course Contents
Introduction of air conditioning, Moist air properties and psychometrics diagram, Thermal comfort and indoor air quality, Cooling load methods, air conditioner cycles, Heat and mass transfer, Cooling tower, heat and mass transfer in the dehumidifying surfaces.
