The aim of this course is to teach energy savings for industry

Examining businesses as an engineer in energy saving and energy management subjects ,Interpreting and Finding solutions to improve
Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit
1) Learning energy saving and energy management consepts
2) Learning the basic principles for setting up energy management systems.
3) Undertanding the balance of Energy and mass and gaining the ability of apply these consepts in different fields where energy is subject.
Course Contents
Introduction: General energy status of Turkey, The structure of Turkish Industry and energy consumption, Energy saving and energy management consepts, Setting up energy management systems, Writing energy efficiency report, Creating energy flow diagram for a factory, Measurement tools and measurement techniques, Efficient use of compressed air, Gained energy saving with insulation, Pipe insulation, valve and flange insulation, Gained savings with selection of electrical devices efficiently, Gained savings with leakage detection, Heat recovery from condensate, Gained savings with reformation of power factor
