Course Aims
This course aims to provide a comprehensive information about the physical separation methods such as separation by spesific gravity differences, separation by magnetic and selectrostatic methods etc.

The importance of beneficiation by using spesific gravity differences of minerals
Beneficiation by magnetic and electrostatic separation methods
Development of a ore based flowsheet for the beneficiation by physical separation methods
Course Contents
The importance of separation depending on the physical properties of the minerals, spesific gravity determination, gravitational separation methods, sink-float tests, separation by using centrifugal forces, the importance of magnetic separation and its applications, the importance of electrostatic separation and its applications, the development of a ore based separation flowsheets.
