Course Contents : Introduction and geothermal energy, the advantages utilization areas from geothermal energy, geothermal energy potential in the world and Turkey, the areas suitable for electricity generation in Turkey, direct steam cycle, the flash-steam cycles, a single flash cycle, double flash cycle, binary cycle, combined cycle, direct steam-binary hybrid cycle, dual-stage binary cycle, Kalina cycle, the investigation of Kalina cycle power plants in the world, new technologies in geothermal power plants, factors affecting costs of geothermal power plants, comparison of costs of geothermal power plants with other power plants, thermodynamic analyses of example of a geothermal power plant, economic analyses of example of a geothermal power plant, the thermodynamic and economic analyses of geothermal power plants are done with the help of package software (EES), application, optimization of example of a geothermal power plant, the most suitable type of plant is selected by analyses, application
