Course Contents : The nature of solar radiation. The calculation and measurement of insulation a horizontal and tilted planes. Transmission of solar radiation through glass and plastics. The flat plate collector theory and performance. Concentrating type collector, heat storage, use of solar energy for power production, miscellaneous uses such as distillation, cooking and cooling.
