Course Contents : Discontinuity types and their origins, measurement of discontinuity characteristics, geometric properties of discontinuities, graphical representation of discontinuity orientation data, stength and deformation behaviour of discontinuities, effect of discontinuities on rock mass properties, effect of discontinuities on stress distribution around excavations, analysis of block stability with streographical projection of discontinuities
