Learning Outcomes of The Course Unit : 1) To have a knowledge of scientific research methods and techniques and to be able to utilize the basics of scientific research methods and techniques
2) To be able to collect and analyze data; and write, report and present scientific data and findings
3) To have a basic knowledge about science and research ethics
4) To be able to prepare a research project in accordance with the criteria of TUBİTAK or / and BAP.

Course Contents : To help student get a grasp of such concepts and processes as knowledge, the types of knowledge, science, scientific method, scientific research, research subject and question, variables etc. To help students make connection among theory, research and empirical data; understand and make use of research process, data collection and survey methods and techniques. To be able to determine research questions and research proposals; to be able to operationalize basic concepts in research question or hypothesis; to be able to make library research, internet search and literature review; to be able to prepare a article review; to be able write a research report in accordance with research ethics and present it efficiently and effectively; to be able to prepare research project in accordance with the criteria of TUBİTAK or / and BAP.

Course Goals : To have a grasp of the basic concepts of science and scientific research and to be able to operationalize basic concepts in research question or hypothesis
Course Aims : Course aims at providing a grasp of research process, and helping students gain research skills and ability to operationalize basic concepts in research question or hypothesis; and providing an understanding of such basic terms, methods, techniques and processes as knowledge, data, information, science, scientific developments, scientific research, research subjects and questions, variables, sampling, data collection, report writing and presentation along with science and research principles and ethics; to prepare a research project in accordance with the criteria of TUBİTAK or / and BAP.
